Government officials had argued that it was feasible to hand the running of the Federated Data Platform (FDP), which Palantir is contracted to build, to another provider, people familiar with the discussions said. They have begun quietly exploring the technical process of removing Palantir from NHS systems in advance of any decision to use the original contract's break clause in 2027. "We are confident we could do it if we wanted to," said a senior government figure. The official stressed that the assessment was not prompted by specific dissatisfaction with Palantir.

Smart data The secure sharing of customer data – at the customer's request – with ATPs, who use this data to provide innovative products and services that benefit the customer. While smart data schemes typically involve the sharing of data about the customer, complementary open data initiatives (e.g. the Fuel Finder scheme) illustrate how smart data powers in the Data (Use and Access) Act can also support broader market transparency and efficiency. These initiatives share the common goal of using data to drive better decision-making and consumer outcomes and may inform future smart data applications. Smart data is not primarily focused on public sector data, but certain use cases could be enabled or enhanced by it.

Alaska coalition tells Senate committee 'Housing is health care,' urges data sharing and stable funding Owen Brooks of the Alaska Coalition on Housing and Homelessness told the Senate Health committee that poor housing quality and homelessness produce dramatically worse health outcomes and urged better HMIS interoperability, Medicaid enrollment data sharing, and sustained state funding for homeless assistance programs.

Housing conditions in Alaska are directly linked to alarming health outcomes, with those experiencing homelessness facing a life expectancy nearly three decades shorter than the general population.

Bill would put FAFSA/WASFA status into students' high‑school plans; agency warns implementation lacks funding WASAC staff told the advisory board that Senate Bill 5841 would require FAFSA/WASFA completion indicators in high‑school-and‑beyond plans and that portal changes and data‑sharing with OSPI are needed. A WASAC fiscal note of a little over $100,000 for FY27 was not funded; staff plan to seek funding next year.

A senior NHS official privately urged colleagues to add more patient data into a Palantir-built platform at the same time as he was being paid to advise the US technology company.
