The Savage She-Hulk, dressed in a white tattered blouse (for no good reason except that the editors ordered she wear it) is lightly kicking the tire of a used car for a live commercial for Wacky Willie's Used Cars. However, the tire pops with a BWOOF sound. She-Hulk: Willie's right! Even his tires are goid enough to take it! Hey, that was a tap, you tin-played piece of junk! Wacky Willie (thought ballon): *gulp!* I'd better cut in before she wrecks everythin'!

Excerpt from the letters to the editor page of Savage She-Hulk #16 I further suggest making the savage She-Hulk herself less savage, because it smacks of her male counterpart, and betrays Jen's sense of patience as an attorney. That would not involve a major change in characterization; she has already been shown to have a clear head and good morals. Getting down to the plot: I like it. There'a a lot to be said about all these pseudo-religious cults and the damage they do. Eric L. Watts 318 Pittsdowne Road Columbia, SC 29210 Gee, Eric, somehow I'm not sure you'd really want to see this comic magazine become THE CIVILIZED SHE-HULK, featuring stories about job discrimination against green-skinned lady lawyers and the like!

Looks like as far as DAK thought in 1981 (or 1982?), the idea of a TV series starring Jen Walters arguing cases in court AS the She-Hulk would happen over his dead body.

Sadly, it did.
