Apparently today is #DetransAwarenessDay, so shout out to detransitioners who are good folk, and I’m sorry about the TERFs who co-opt that for their own nefarious movement. I think it’s worth acknowledging that you’re all included in the fight for trans rights and gender affirming care. 🤝

Since it was #DetransAwarenessDay recently and transphobes again used it as an opportunity to instrumentalize detrans people’s experiences toward their far-right agenda, it’s worth sharing this new paper again:
"Detrans Awareness Day" is just an anti-trans shitshow dedicated to right-wing grifting hacks slandering the trans community and pedos whining about children's breasts allegedly being "stolen away from them".

...so let me say that, with how much attention we give Ts and their ways;

It's ok to acknowledge medical transition isn't right for everyone and sometimes people Detransition for a myriad of reasons.
But the way to help both Trans and Detrans people is better access to healthcare, mental health services and proper documentation.
