An enormous cloud of magical energy rages in the colors of aurora above the floating ruins of an elven city cast in deep shadows by the green, blue and purple light.
Fi, our dwarven heroine, stands in front of a bar with her hand raised palm-up in a “Well?” gesture, seemingly unconcerned about the challenge the enemies in front of her would present.
In a ruined ancient elven hall, the only source of light is the rippling blue of the Eluvian, a giant magical mirror. The few inches of clear water covering the ornate floor reflect not only the light but the four figures facing toward the mirror, backs to us.

A vast cavern either lined by or made entirely of pure lyrium, the dull blue crystal emerging in various sizes from yards across to maybe a handspan for the smallest. There's an unmistakably dwarven construction in the center, a tower made of a pale golden metal and dark stone. Stairs lead up to it. Story: Fi escorting Harding to meet the Oracle at a Kal-Sharok dwarf outpost.
Fi, Stalgard and Harding are standing on a platform that looks vaguely circular, with another short set of what appear to be stairs on all sides leading up to one last platform a few feet higher. On that platform there's the bottom of a dwarven statue, the Oracle. Fi and Stalgard are both looking at Harding, who is holding her hands out, palms downward in a gesture of calm. Story: After meeting the Oracle and not getting answers that satisfy her, Harding is angry but quickly calms herself down.
Fi and Harding back in Lace's room at the Lighthouse. Fi is sitting on the chair, listening to Lace in her usual spot sitting on her bedroll. Story: the pair talking about what happened and what it might mean, next steps and so on.

Fi walking across the view, little but a dark shadow with the light pouring in in the background — though how and from where is a bit of a question as we seem to be in a huge cavern with a massive, beautifully ornate and distinctly dwarven-style edifice hewn right into the white-gray stone and further decorated with a lot of gold. This is not Kal-Sharok itself, but an entrance to one of its surface outposts.
Inside the outpost, Fi is peering into yet another beautiful room hewn straight into bedrock and decorated ornately with gold and the prominently featured green stone that might be nevarrite, and with even the lighting clearly planned. There are some dwarves in deep discussion inside, and a guard posted at the door. The Kal-Sharok dwarf is in what seems to be typical armor made of gold-edged blue marbled stone fashioned to accentuate in this case a feminine shape in addition to muscle. She is looking Fi over, though she seems more curious than suspicous in contrast to Fi’s few encounters with dwarves from Orzammar and the other non-Kal-Sharok thaigs.
Ever deeper underground, Fi is in a massive cavern painted in red by the glow of the lava lake below. While Fi is peering down trying to not burn off her eyebrows from the rising heat, there’s some sort of a red flame atop a nearby rocky formation that she seems unaware of in a rare lapse for the usually extremely observant rogue.

Fi has probably had some gingerwort tea because Assan‘s plumage has turned a beautiful white and gold with pink iridescence. Everything else remains the same, especially the rogue’s adoration of the griffon cub who seems to be in need of beak smooches. Davrin’s doing something in the background since this is his quarters, after all, but it’s unclear what that something is.
Fi is at eye level with Taash for once as she watches the kossith sat on their legs going through the ritual of tying the red dar-saam rope around their arms.
In Neve’s office, with some of her investigation and research on a pin board behind the seated detective. She’s talking to Lucanis and Fi (about coffee, as it turns out)

Dimly lit interior in Weisshaupt. Fi, in her flower crown, has her hands held out, palms showing in a universal gesture of no threat — although her expression says she very much will be if the Gray Wardens with their swords drawn don’t listen to her fellow dwarf, Evka, who’s trying to take control of the situation as the now senior Warden.
Fi standing on a stone walkway that seems to have half crumbled into nothingness, possibly losing a parapet as well. There are signs of destruction around her, including a pair of armored legs from a probable casualty. Below, however, there’s smoke billowing like clouds as an army of thousands pours in through cracked walls of a lower level.
Three very small figures stand at the edge of some higher courtyard of a castle, at the edge of the parapet overlooking whatever would have opened below this wall… which is now entirely obscured by a bruised blue-black cloud rushing toward them with a face with enormous glowing eyes at the center of it.

A neatly organized cache of furniture brought over by some refugee. Right at the front sits a child's rocking griffon with the rockers detached. It's made of wood with obvious love and care, with feathers and other features carved into the wood and everything held together by wood bolts. It has a worn coat of blue paint on the head and front and back legs. The back was perhaps painted and just worn off from use, or was left bare wood.
Grey Wardens Antoine and Evka Ivo in what may once have been a chapel of a fort deep in the uncharted Hossberg area of the Anderfels.

Neve and Taash in the Lighthouse dining hall, standing next to the rickety plank stairs in the back. Neve is in her usual white blouse and green pants, Taash in the casual version of the scale armor with just the chest piece and normal pants. The dar-saam ropes are still there, too. Judging by the height Neve is looking at, hands on hips, Fi is probably standing just outside view. Sullen is not unusual for Taash, but sullen sadness is.
Neve. Just Neve. She is saying something to Taash and we have a lovely close-up. In a rare exception Neve is wearing red earrings with her green outfit. Bold.
The consternation possibly resolved, as Neve now smiles up at Taash who in turn does seem to be in the more usual noncommittal sullenness, arms crossed. And indeed it is Fi standing opposite Taash, looking up at Neve between the two of them.

Fi is in her casual outing outfit again (description in the #Debriefs titled "Slippery When Wet", so she and Davrin must be on a more casual outing. There's some foliage in the background, and Fi has squatted down with her forearms resting on her knees. Given that she can look over at Davrin, the Warden is also crouched down though we can really only see his side profile and a bit of the armoring around his shoulder.
A wider view but with the two switching sides, Fi squatting down on the right and Davrin indeed on a knee on the left – or her right, as they are facing this direction at an angle while Assan the griffon cub is sitting on his haunches opposite the pair. Fi seems to be explaining something, eyes closed in this moment. Their outing is clearly in Arlathan, surrounded as they are by trees in all colors of the autumn with swirling magic visible here and there.

Fi in her armor and her bow across her back, lit by bright sunlight pouring into what looks like a cavern. While the metal bits on her glint, too, they're nothing compared to the shine of the riches amassed in a pile in front of her. There's coins, jewelry, gold bars, and ornamental, presumably valuable containers and statues.
It's not easy to impress the Queen of the Eastern Seas, but Fi is sure going to try. Again. She is a known enough quantity through Varric that Isabela is receiving her personally on the dais on the top floor of the ruins surrounding the legendary pirate haven and its arena, the Halls of Valor, and even seems happy about it. Isabela has chosen a lighter garb, billowy white pants with a silk top in a cerulean blue that matches her bandana and complements her almond skin just as the golden jewelry does. Atop her head she wears a faded, genuinely sun and salt-worn bicorne that used to be a bright red. It is, remarkably, nearly exactly like the one Varric once bought Fi. Fi, in the foreground with her back to the camera, is in her usual light armor.
Of all the mysteries of Rivain, one is why there's an almost pristine statue of Mythal in an old ruin now occupied by the pirates. As it is, it looks over piles of gold with more in a locked vault next to it. Three people, plain normal folks by the look of them, have kneeled before the statue — or perhaps before the gold.

Fi dashing across a beam, as she is wont to do, somewhere very, very high above the sand-bottomed floor of a canyon in coastal Rivain. And back in her armor. Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
In a move that appears absolutely gratuitous but was surely warranted in some way, Fi is midair jumping across a gap in a parapet very, very high up over the coast of Rivain with the sea in the background as she pulls back her flower-adorned bow that looks like it was just made out of a branch.
Fi captured mid-fight and mid-flight, a leaping pirouette for enough height to drive her short rapier along the horn into the unarmored and un-vitaared base of the Qunari commander's skull. The magical charge of the sabre she used to knock him down arcs and sparks in violet magenta coils from where she struck to climb back to the rapier for the finish.

Fi in a more casual though no less elaborate outfit, making an extremely convincing face explaining something to Taash's mother (mostly out of the picture). Taash in turn watches the waist-height rogue, maybe more amused or puzzled than anything else. It's rainy and the sea behind them is covered in mist.
Taash and Fi stepping into the light of a campfire tended to by another, seated kossith of a masc presentation — and a very similar top to what Fi usually wears casually! It seems rainy and overcast, and the occasion is more relaxed than usual adventuring, as Fi has chosen her elaborate Rivaini-style outfit over her armor. The main parts are blue-green baggy pants and a leather top in brown with heart-shaped leather guards along the forearms for some degree of protection, all with yellow trim and red accents. There's a split skirt like cloth around her waist made of multiple red-and-yellow layers, a bunch of tassels, and thick red rope wrapped around one shoulder, waist, and both arms, its function or functionality very unclear. But it's cute. Taash is in the usual blue scale armor, which has similar design cues in the fabrics.
Fi carefully side-stepping across a wet and slippery beam with her back against the wall it's part of. Taash has already made it across to a wet patch of sand pelted by rain.

Fi in Neve's office, standing in front of her desk and looking across it at her. The detective wears one of her half-smirking expressions, whatever the discussion is about.
Fi adjudicating a labor dispute between Davrin and Manfred and Assan, all in a circle in Davrin's quarters. The latter two had been causing a ruckus but were promised treats — and it seemed Davrin had no treats to give, it had all been a lie! Fi had no option but to side with the wronged pair and make a quick exit.
Fi with an unladylike foot on the low coffee table in the corner of the Lighthouse dining hall. Our short heroine is listening to Bellara filling Neve in on some goings-on.

Fi walking into Bellara's room, where the elf has been tinkering with the elven artifact. With success, it seems, as there is a spirit-form hovering in the air dressed in exotic garb. Even though she's got her back to us, by the silhouette of her cheek it seems Bellara is happy with this development. Fi seems less certain but curious.
Davrin giving Assan a long-suffering look. They're seated in front of the fireplace in Davrin's quarters, the elf on the high-backed red leather chair and the griffon on his haunches on the floor, and the fire throws sharp and heavy shadows. Assan, with Fi smooches all over his head, is obviously innocent of whatever Davrin thinks the cub has done wrong.

Nothing seems to have saved the people whose blood magic-ravaged bodies lie in a forgotten corner of Docktown. Even Fi seems distraught as she arrives on the scene amidst crates and barrels, hands raised in futile exasperation.
A spirit of Compassion drawn strongly enough to yet another tragedy in Docktown to be clearly visible and in nearly solid white-blue human shape. Fi seems to be looking at the distraught spirit, but we can't see her expression.
Fi has come across a wounded Gray Warden huddled up against a Docktown wall somewhere. Warden Vesta is holding her neck and has curled up a bit but does not seem to be fatally wounded.

The Inquisitor, Eyry, is a tall, powerfully built fem kossith depicted in many histories over the last decade and it would be extremely difficult to try to be truly incognito, so she's not. For this meeting in the Cobbled Swan, she is dressed in her usual Antivan-style suit in a light summer colorway of tan with red and black checkers. She does have a black leather coat thrown over her shoulders but it's probably more against the drizzly weather than a disguise.
A view from over the Inquisitor's shoulder shows us the two fem dwarves, Fi and Harding — in her Inquisition-style armor with an overskirt she's embroidered with mementos — looking up at the kossith.

In the central space of the Lighthouse Library, Bellara and Neve stand behind the couch Neve and Harding usually sit on. Bellara has turned her face toward Neve, but her eyes now follow the latter's gaze toward the viewer. Neve seems just a little unusually stiff, her side toward the viewer and hands clasped in front of her but her chin raised and her stare almost impassive.
Moments after the first image, a much more familiar Neve emerges. Her posture is almost identical but softened to her usual manner as has her gaze, the eyes more expressive under her brow as she dips her chin and drops her shoulder. Bellara, next to her, has turned to look at the viewer, as well, though her eyes are closed in this instant — whether incidentally or out of relief, one could not say.
The entire gang gathered around the round table in the center of the space, surrounded by four chairs of various designs in addition to the green leather couch. Fi has her back to us, but is the only one between her chair and the table — everyone else is standing behind the seats. Clockwise it's Davrin, Taash, Harding, Varric, Emmrich, Lucanis, Bellara and Neve, almost the usual arrangement except for the switched places of Harding and Bellara. Everyone stands a little apart save for Bellara and Neve, perhaps out of unfamiliarity with new members or simply an occasion that has everyone ill at ease.
"Second Chances"
(Treviso is not Fi's canon path but some of the alternate scenes and especially Neve's are really good.)
