Fi in Neve's office, standing in front of her desk and looking across it at her. The detective wears one of her half-smirking expressions, whatever the discussion is about.

Fi adjudicating a labor dispute between Davrin and Manfred and Assan, all in a circle in Davrin's quarters. The latter two had been causing a ruckus but were promised treats — and it seemed Davrin had no treats to give, it had all been a lie! Fi had no option but to side with the wronged pair and make a quick exit.

Fi with an unladylike foot on the low coffee table in the corner of the Lighthouse dining hall. Our short heroine is listening to Bellara filling Neve in on some goings-on.

Davrin the elven Gray Warden and his ward, the griffon cub Assan, have had more time to settle in. Standing in front of the fully open side of his terrace-like quarters, Davrin is showing off some of the monster figurines he's been whittling to a smiling Fi while Assan looks on sitting on his haunches (with a smooch mark on his beak and head).

On the courtyard of the Lighthouse, with the greenhouse in the background, Fi and Manfred the skeleton are in the middle of a round of stone-parchment-shears (which Fi always lets Manfred win the last one)

On the sunny, vine-covered Lighthouse courtyard Fi has already smooched Manfred on the forehead as consolation for losing the stone-parchment-shears, and is currently on one knee scratching the very happy-looking Assan's feathery cheek. Davrin looks on, and Lucanis has twisted halfway around as though to stretch his back or arms.

All her best boys (Emmrich is a magnificent young lad). Davrin's waiting for his forehead smooch and Lucanis is stretching for rock-parchment-shears.

In a deep crypt in the Grand Necropolis of Nevarra, Bellara and Fi are greeted by a dashingly dressed person who very much seems to have a green-flaming skull for a head.

Fortunately it was merely an illusion, and our necromancer Emmrich has done away with it by the time Bellara enthusiastically shakes his hand — with both hands!

The recruitment was even more successful than expected, because in addition to Emmrich himself, here in a distinguished vest and shirt and decked out in various mostly golden jewelry, the necromancer also brought his enthusiastic skeleton assistant Manfred. Manfred looks much like an ordinary skeleton except for the goggle-like emerald crystals over his eyes, boots, and the now-empty parts of his torso packed with useful items to carry along. Currently he's enthusiastically offering up a tome of some sort on a tray.
