Three little columbine plants in a rock crevice. Each has a small flower with five white petals and five blue-violet sepals. The foliage is small and crowded with blue-green leaflets... I think I might be a fan. Fairly early, but it has been hot out in Denver.

Probably one of the Asian species, possibly Aquilegia flabellata, fan columbine
A honeybee (Apis melifera, possibly carnica) on the clustered yellow flowers with leathery green leaves with prickly edges like holly. Berberis repans, probably. Depending on if you listen to the lumpers or splitters.
Creeping mahonia. Lots of honeybees, I noticed more variation in the colors. Perhaps two different colonies, one darker and one the classic yellow.
