A new article about #DinnerTableSyndrome and my latest anthology!

First thoughts on @raymondluczak.com's compilation of #deaf writing on dinner table syndrome:
#dinnertablesyndrome is often part of a bigger system of family dysfunction
Audism is driven by control
Learning #ASL is not enough
There are a lot of amazing d/Deaf writers I need to read

As more of a potential perpetrator than victim of dinner table syndrome, I'm both excited and a little scared to dig in. But I'm happy @raymondluczak.com put together such a great array of #Deaf writers for this project—super important, especially for us parents of #deafkids.

Fellow #deaf and #disabled folks— how was Thanksgiving? Some #dinnertablesyndrome here. 😒
Completely alone for Thanksgiving. No #DinnerTableSyndrome when you are surrounded by moving boxes.
💔
[ID: The book cover shows a wall sculpture in the shape of a Manhattan-like island with gear wheels painted in mostly gold and copper arranged in a chaotic pattern all connected with aluminum chains around a deep brown gear wheel that is not connected to any wheel. The sculpture’s background print shows many gear wheels clashing and merging with each other in white against a clay color. The cover’s background is solid black with the text in white and rust below the sculpture: I’LL TELL YOU LATER | Deaf Survivors of Dinner Table Syndrome | Raymond Luczak, Editor.]
If you are Deaf and tired of being left out of the banter at the Thanksgiving dinner table this coming Thursday, you are NEVER alone. Us too! #DinnerTableSyndrome

With #Thanksgiving around the corner, I’d like to remind you that #dinnertablesyndrome is real for a lot of #deaf people with hearing families. Ensure everyone is #included. #Disability
I absolutely do! The chapter is titled DINNER TABLE SYNDROME: NOT AS DELICIOUS AS IT SOUNDS
But it's not confined to just one chapter, because there's not just one fix for it (although #ASL is a good start...)
Excited for your book—where can I pre-order?
