im gonna see if i can handle another #dinovember this year, but here's last years! (or check out my #dinovember2024 tag!)
Happy "Draw a Dinosaur Day!" I drew a bunch of dinos for #Dinovember2024 and figured I'd smoosh some of them together and show you all! You can get them as stickers on redbubble too if you want: redbubble.com/people/kasey...

The large pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus. It had a long neck and an equally long beak. It had a small crest on it's head above it's eyes. I ended up taking inspiration from the Great White Pelican for the color palette. It's body is white while it's wings and beak are a grey. It has darker stripes on the tips of it's wings. It has a yellow patch that runs up the front of it's neck. Over it's eye and striped across it's head crest is a dark flesh pink color. It's hindlegs are a beign color.
Day 5 of 5 of post #Dinovember cooldown :). We have the giant Quetzalcoatlus! I ended up taking inspo from the Great White Pelican. I had a blast drawing these beans. I may revisit them on occasion. #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Pterosaurs
The teeny lil pterosaur from the late Jurassic, Anurognathus! It had a stubby nose with a mouth full of small sharp teeth. I ended up taking inspiration from the Zebra Finch for the color palatte. It's body is grey with it's wing tips and tail tip colored in a darker grey. It's underbelly and underwings are white with it's forelimbs and chest a mottled rusty red color. It's muzzle is a bright orange with a stripe of white underneath it's eyes. The back of it's jaw and down the sides of it's neck are a dim yellow. It's hindfeet are the same orange as it's snout.
Day 4 of 5 of my lil post #Dinovember cooldown. Today we have Anurognathus, the teeny pterosaur from the late Jurassic! I ended up taking inspo from a Zebra Finch for the colors :). #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Pterosaurs
The pterosaur Pterodaustro. Existing in the early Cretaceous period, it possessed a large set of baleen-like teeth on it's lower jaw that it was theorized to use as a filter for feeding on small aquatic animals like fish and crustaceans. Unlike a lot of pterosaurs, it didn't have much of any head crest. I took inspiration for the color palette from the Black Skimmer bird which also has an interesting feeding habit. It's dorsal side is a dark grey while it's underbelly/wings are a white. It's beak and lower portions of it's hindlimbs are a vibrant orange with the tips of it's beak being a dark grey. It's teeth are an off-white/cream color.
Day 3 of 5 of post #Dinovember cooldown! Today we have Pterodaustro! A pterosaur from the early Cretaceous who had baleen-like teeth on it's lower jaw & was thought to filter feed. Similarly, I took the color idea from the Black Skimmer. #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Dinosaurs
The pterosaur Thalassodromeus. It lived during the early Cretaceous period and had one of the largest pterosaur skulls at nearly 5ft! It has a large head crest that ended in a V shaped notch. It had an estimated wingspan of 14-15 feet. I took inspiration for the color from the King Fisher bird, with their body being mostly a seafoam blue with a creamy orange underbelly. It's mouth/beak is a dark blue color with a white stripe running from the corner of it's mouth back behind it's head. Another patch of the same creamy orange color shows up in front of it's eye. It's large head crest has a lighter blue striping pattern on it while the tips of it's wings are a similar dark blue as it's beak.
Day 2 (of 5) of post #Dinovember, where we're visiting some Pterosaurs! Today's is Thalassodrameus! This early Cretaceous pterosaur had one of the largest pterosaur skulls ever at nearly 5ft in length! #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Pterosaurs
The famous pterosaur Pteranodon! From the last Cretaceous, it's one of the most numerous found; having over 1,200 specimens. It had a large crest that ran off the back of it's head, parallel to it's long beak. I gave it the coloration of a Great Blue Heron, with a blueish grey body, darker grey underwings and head crest. It has a white patching around it's eyes with it's beak and lower hind legs a deep yellow.
As a lil post #Dinovember treat, I thought I'd do a 5 entry batch of pterosaurs :D. First up we have the iconic Pteranodon! Ended up going with a Great Blue Heron color palette #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Pterosaurs
Thanks to everyone who participated in my #dinovember2024 prompt! I want to show off your awesome work, so I'm doing a live showcase this afternoon at 4PM MT on twitch!

Microraptor, a tiny dromaeosaurid from the early Cretaceous. It, along with Archaeopteryx, was fossilized with incredible examples of feathering. It was speculated to be capable of powered flight as well. Interestingly it had longer feathers not only on it's forelimbs but also on it's hindlimbs. Additionally, it was found that, from fossilized pigment, that they most likely had dark colored feathers similar to crows and ravens. Due to this, I chose a dark blue/black color palette for this one, with a lighter blue for the underside of it's feathers and belly.
Finally we round out #Dinovember with day 30, the teeny but famous Microraptor! I've had such an absolute blast with this art challenge & I'm really glad I've stumbled upon a style that captures the anatomy while giving them a cute vibe :). Look forward to more! #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Dinosaurs
The tiny pachycephalosaurid Homalocephale. It had a thick skull plate on the top of it's head like it's larger cousins. It stood on it's hind legs and was thought to have been a swift runner. It's body is a desaturated brown with yellow spotting down it's back and a cream underbelly. It's tongue and interior of the mouth is blue.
Day 29 of #Dinovember! We have the tiny pachycephalosaurid Homalocephale! #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Dinosaurs

Two honorable mentions for #dinovember2024 with #tenontosaurus and #Guanlong !
After a while things got a little crazy this month and my little babe decided to only sleep on me. :’D It was fun to join in! I enjoyed seeing so many dinosaurs on my feed from everyone <3
The spinosaurid therapod, Baryonyx. It's name means Heavy Claw which is referring to it's large claws on it's forelimbs. It had a long snout like other spinosaurids. I was inspired by the fire skink as the color palette; a dark brown body with a golden pattern on the upper half of it's body with reddish orange underbelly stripes.
Day 28 of #Dinovember! We have one of my fav dinos, Baryonyx, the spinosaurid from the early Cretaceous! #Dinovember2024 #Paleoart #Dinosaurs
#Dinovember2024 30. Full Circle.
Our final piece depicts Comptonatus strolling on a beach, oblivious to the Megalosaurus fossil protruding from the rock behind it.
Happy Dinovember, and happy 200 years of dinosaurs!

Vaya, noviembre paso muy rápido.
Fue bastante divertido hacer por lo menos el intento de dibujar todos los dias.
Con este dibujo despido, por ahora, el dinovember.

Day 30: Microraptor
the final day of Dinovember!! Tysm to everyone who interacted with my posts, it means a lot!! this is the most amount of followers i've ever gotten and it's incredibly cool. This whole prompt list was super fun and I'm so happy i did it!!!

Day 30: Microraptor!
For the final fun fact of #dinovember2024 , did you know that dinosaurs are still around? There have been so many discoveries of fossils with feathers, such as with microraptor, that there is virtually no argument: birds are dinosaurs!

the FINAL day, and of course with none other than Velociraptor! Thanks for joining me!

A male Mircroraptor shows off his feather iridescence to a nearby female (whose feathers are no less impressive). Does she think his gleeful jumping in the air is cute, or is she annoyed? I'll leave that for you to decide. The male Microraptor has his mouth open, eyes closed, and wings outstretched to full display all the iridescent colors in his wings. The full body is visible. The female in the foreground is only visible from the head. She seems to be staring intently at the male, as if judging his every move.
#Dinovember Day 30: #Microraptor
I did it! My first successful monthly challenge, from start to finish! Running out of steam though, so I'll need a short break artwise after all these.

Ehrlich wahr.

The ankylosaurian dino Gastonia. It was from the early Cretaceous. It has rows of spikes along it's back and tail with the largest being over it's shoulder blades and upper back. Like similar Nodosaurids, it's tail didn't end in a club but instead tapers to a spiky point. I ended up doing a simliar coloration to the black desert rain frog and gave it a grumpy pose similar to the little amphibian.

Day 29: Homalocephale!
This Mongolian Pachycepholsaur was regarded as a juvenile of Prenocephale for some time. Recent discoveries of juvenile Prenocephale have now allowed this little pachy to be considered its own species!
