A wooden box picked up from a craft store with hinges on the back a side and a small metal closure to hold it shut on the opposite side. The box is painted purple with the words HERO QUEST along the top in gold with a grey stone like bit behind it. In the center is a bit with an image from the original Hero Quest expansion pack design for Return of the Witch Lord. I don’t play, so stick with me here. It looks like there is a muscle bound barbarian looking person in a red furry sexy lil loin cloth and no shirt. They are straight up nips out. They also have the same Bettie Page blunt bangs dyed black bob I had for years. You can’t see it here, but in the original art by Les Edwards this big angry person is kneeling in some equally flirty furry boots and they’re chained with shackles to the floor of what sort of looks like an arena for fighting. In the background is a dual sided staircase leading up to a platform with a pretty horny leering royal looking skeleton sitting on a throne. They’re leaning forward like they are really enjoying what they see here. This painting is equal parts sexy and scary. Real fearboner territory. It was painted with acrylic paint by hand by my husband, @dunstonchecksin.bsky.social, in 2023 or 2024. He is truly the total package.

Another piece by Les Edward’s originally with a repaint in acrylics done by my husband, @dunstonchecksin.bsky.social, in 2023 or 2024. Again, this is a game I don’t play, and the image is a little less straight forward to me than the Return of the Horny Skeleton Royalty one… so please stick with me here. My best guess, there is this white bearded and armor clad dwarf looking character who is coming through the back end of an “ohhhhh big swing” (imagine me saying that to a child or a cat stretching). They’ve got a big ol’ axe in their hands and a sword in its sheath on their belt. On the left is what looks like an orc. It’s all green with a blue blouse on. Super casual like they were on their way to a Tinder date at a cafe but came across a LARP event at the park by the train station and got distracted. Our big baddie is this sort of stone or sand or golden behemoth. I am honestly unsure of whether it is absolutely as the day it was born naked or if it’s wearing clothes the same color as it’s body-ody-ody. All I can tell is that it has a real Skeletor coded BDSM harness with a lil skull on it like a proper weirdo on and a helmet with what looks like flat horns? Their gaping maw is wide open with sharp teeth and those paired with the grabby hands says, “C’MERE SEXY LET’S TUSSLE LIKE CAPTAIN KIRK.” Again, that Dracula is something else isn’t he? Sexy creative lil freak.
