Day 4547 - Pileated Two large pileated woodpeckers possibly a mating pair. It looks like the one on the right has the red kind of mustache stripe. Where's the one on the left? Definitely is a female from what I can tell. These two noisy birds were banging away on this tree early this morning and it was quite actually disturbing to see them fly cuz they are straight up fuckin dinosaurs
