Don't be fooled by meat industry junk science!
#DublinDeclaration
The arrogance in the #DublinDeclaration astounds:
"Taking goods away from high-income populations does not make them more available to low-income populations. A steak that is not eaten in the Global North does not turn into eggs that are therefore more available to stunted children in Africa."

Guess what the people behind the #DublinDeclaration on livestock have been up to..?
They have developed a whole new 'Nourishment Table' based on the fishy concept of 'nutritional wisdom', which (surprise..) points to (meat-heavy) 'Keto' and 'Paleo' diets as the best!
The usual tactics...
The #DublinDeclaration, a document promoting animal #farming, is scientifically problematic, esp. in its neglect of issues like #meat overconsumption & the dominance of industrial #livestock production, thereby downplaying related risks & harms... (1/3) papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
Livestock is a political matter.
We wrote a correspondence to #NatureFood on #DublinDeclaration calling for rebalanced discussion on the roles of livestock in society. Now #guardian continues the discussion and tracks the entanglements between #science and #politics
