Hey @smitner.studio - I'd love to be added to your Godot Devs pack! Just starting out on Bluesky, but I intend to continue posting about my development process with #DunderbeckGame - and will try to think of good tips/tricks to share as well!
In preparation for making a level based on #Cincinnati 's "Coney Island of the West", I've implemented popcorn into #DunderbeckGame!

Here's the general "puke flow" in #DunderbeckGame - trigger warning I suppose? Puke flow? #PukeFlow #GameDev #InventoryManagement #MadeWithGodot #GodotEngine
Git commit message: Rats now make puking sounds when they eat the player's vomit. Also, popcorn now pops.
#gamedev priorities. Adding popping sounds when moving around popcorn is an immediate quality of life enhancement. Puking rat sounds mean that this commit was more quality of life neutral.

Eat puke, get two puke - also get sick. Get sick? Make more puke. Puke puke, slap rat with puke, rat is sick, drops puke. My life is puke now. #GameDev #Godot #MadeWithGodot #DunderbeckGame
Just a little puke (a small pile of slime with a single fly.)
A reasonable vomit (a medium pile of slime with two flies.)
A sizeable hurl (a large pile of slime with three flies.)
So, an important part about #DunderbeckGame is that everything can be crafted with (as well as used as a weapon, as well as eaten...) and tossed cookies are no different - so I have three stages of puke crafting. Presenting, puke (smallest), vomit (middlest), and hurl (largest)

Screen snippet from the Godot game editor, featuring metadata for a new item - this section focuses on a new attack named "Puke Slap!" with zero damage. Also notable, the "chew" for this item is "firm."
Finally going about implementing the "Vomit-Mage"... Or. Puke-lock? Hurl-ceror? Chunder-mancer? Mechanic for #DunderbeckGame - starting with the infamous "Puke Slap!" attack.
