Ez még nem egyenlő egy bejelentéssel, de John Hight már kijelentette, hogy örömmel látna valamit a Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) IP-ben (amelyre a Baldur’s Gate is épül).   Tavaly ünnepelte a D&D 50. évfordulóját, és utána a Wizards of the Coast (WotC) lassan felfedte merész tervét a játékiparban.
