Rather quiet in the patch this morning, but a walk in the forest (sheltering for a cold easterly) produced a soft drumming female Lesser Spotted WP as #76 for the year list and a nice view of a silent male Black WP. Better than hanging out on the couch! #Patchbirding #DutchPatchworkChallenge

Another of the many advantages of local #patchbirding: even in dense fog it is still possible to have a glorious outdoor moment. After one hour bush wacking I found my Woodcock for the patch year list, nice and satisfying! #DutchPatchworkChallenge

Nice 4h stroll through the woods to add some year ticks to the local patch list of Hoogekampse Plas & Beukenburg, De Bilt for #DutchPatchworkChallenge with a.o. Middle Spotted and Black Woodpecker, Woodlark, Hawfinch, Crested and Marsh Tit. Now at 58 species for the year.
Blue skies after a frosty night brought 3 duck additions to the #dpwc2025 list (49/120). Pochard only the 2nd patch record on the deck, teal a frost-only species on patch. RR parakeet enjoying the weather. #dutchpatchworkchallenge @patchbirding.bsky.social

Gisteren beetje "off patch" gevogeld. Wilde al langer een rondje Texel lopen. Mooie tocht van 62,1 km met leuke soorten als Strandleeuwerik, Frater, Blauwe Kiekendief enz.
