Pick of the afternoon at Branston Island, and a real surprise, was this Continental Black-tailed Godwit, alongside a possible 2nd and 18 Icelandic birds.
Thanks to @markgolley.bsky.social for the confirmation, a really nice female L3 it looks like.

Swinemoor-a very quick scoot over to the patch after work to have a look at the reported Ruddy Shelduck. Stood in the middle of the flooded area. Nice new tick for the patch! Thanks @owentatdraws.bsky.social to the heads up! #patchbirding #eastyorksbirding
Is there a finer looking bird than a male Wheatear in spring? I think not.
There ARE 2 Wheatear in this shot. Male on the left. The female or 1CY male on the right.
Thought it was enough to cause a minor twitch for the Grey Partridges today as I wandered up to see if they were still about - they were - but then not 1 but 2 Wheatear popped up on the main field AND a calling Brambling in the tree behind - oh, my days I need a lie down #patchbirding
Female Roe Deer
1 Willow Warbler, 7 Chiffchaff, several mixed Finch parties moved through North, 2 Sparrowhawk & a Roe Deer during a 2hr late a.m visit today, @ Bickershaw CP no bird photos but attached one of the Female Roe Deer noted today #BCPBirding #UKBirding #Patchbirding

A Brambling is partly concealed amongst lots of larch twigs and branches.
A male Brambling this afternoon in St Fittick's Park was my first ever spring record here. Always a delight to see. The Glaucous Gull was again in the harbour this morning and an early Manx Shearwater flew north off Girdle Ness.
