- In the #ECCES conference in Zurich, I co-presented with my colleague Svenja the work in progress in our new mapping review: How WEIRD is research on Artificial Intelligence in Education?
It has been a great experience to keep updated, learn from others, meet colleagues and do new networking! 😊

I was in Zurich last week for the first European Conference on Critical Edtech Studies. I was fortunate to present on some early PhD work, make new connections, and enjoy the city and surrounds. Sincere thanks to the organisers for hosting, and for bringing this valuable community together. #ECCES
Big shoutout to #BetterImagesOfAI - take home from the fantastic #ECCES conference in Zurich last week.
Sometimes I am so annoyed with the yet another "robot-in-front-of-blue-datastrem" visualization I want to cry. This resource shows how its done better.

Ironic moment at #ECCES 4:
The projector failed midst our presentation 😱
Luckily we had our slides online: doebe.li/ecces25
An excellent couple of days at the inaugural #ECCES conference - great to share some findings from the project and to engage in lots of lively, critical conversations on all things #edtech, teaching and learning 🇨🇭☀️ @erpioe.bsky.social @education.ox.ac.uk
Over the past two days I've had the pleasure of taking part in European Conference in Critical Edtech Studies ( #ecces ) here in Zurich. I'm delighted to see so many people joining forces bulding other sociodigital futures.
Ironic moment at #ECCES during the discussion on digital sovereignty 3:
The smartwatch of the presenter tells him that he successfully did his 10’000 steps today (while he is sitting in front of the audience for the last 10 minutes)
Ironic moment at #ECCES during the discussion on digital sovereignty 2: Microsoft's email program thinks it has to push itself in front of the presenter's slides.
Ironic moment at #ECCES during the discussion on digital sovereignty 1:
The home control system of the building automatically turns down the solar panels and nobody knows how to turn on the lights.
Lively discussions at the conference dinner of #ecces yesterday evening with a nice view on the lake of Zürich.
Picture of a lake and a marina with boats and buoys. Rising Sun and fountain in the background.
On my way to #ecces #phzh. The program is promising✨. Yes, I printed it🦕🦖🖨️. Difficult to choose which panel to attend!
Yes, but as I live in Zürich, my heading only began half an hour ago ;-) #ECCES
Wall art in the Vaulted Cavern
Books on Dadism including collages and poerty
Invent the Future with Elements of the Past book cover
Reading nook in the Dada Library with wall art that looks like a sad face
Landed in Zurich today for the European Conference on Critical EdTech Studies and managed to fulfil of my teenage dreams - visiting the birthplace of Dadaism at Cabaret Voltaire. I spent a few hours looking at the exhibits, reading in the Dada Library, and immersing myself in the space. #ECCES
Any fediverse folx headed to #ECCES? (first European Conference for Critical Edtech Studies)
