During this clinical grand round #ECCMID2022, it was impossible for me to not think that particular complex infections such as this encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis due to S. aureus complicating peritoneal dialysis could not be an indication of #phagetherapy in a close future!

It was a great experience today to participate to the #ECCMID2022 clinical grand round! Not so easy for me to diagnose this Meningoencephalitis due to Balamuthia mandrillaris (a free-living amoeba), especially as my daily practice is more to manage complex orthopaedic infections!
