Happy to have won third place for best poster at #ECTE2026!

We studied solitary bees and wasps nesting in standing and lying #deadwood 🪵🐝, all mediated by substrate humidity. Looking forward to getting this study publicly available!

Focusing on Melastomataceae, the team looked at 11 independent mountain colonizations. ⛰️

🐝 #Bees are less effective #pollinators than vertebrates at high elevations. However the "why" and "when" are still being unraveled. 🔎

🌸Exciting #pollinator research at #ECTE2026! Dr. Agnes Dellinger (@the-kunsze.bsky.social) presented on how #environmental shifts can trigger pollinator shifts.

Key takeaway: it’s not just one factor, it’s a mix of macro/micro-ecology and shifting biotic communities.
