Childcare travel grants The ESA is offering a number of Conference Childcare Travel Grants to assist delegates with young children to bring a support carer with them to help with care over the conference period. We hope this will allow delegates with young children more freedom to participate in the conference program and activities, and provide the opportunity to have a trusted carer of your choice looking after your family. Funding of $250 is available as a contribution to the travel costs of your chosen carer e.g. partner, grand-parent, family member or friend.
Early career ecologist travel grants A person within their first five years (full-time equivalent) of ecological-related employment, recognising and acknowledging career interruptions whatever they may be. There is no age limit on who can be an ECE as the definition is dependent on where the person is in their career progression. Early Career Ecologists are eligible to apply for up to $1000 for ESA conference registration costs, accommodation, partial reimbursement of flight costs, or costs associated with childcare (additional day care, or extra travel costs related to bringing family).
Peter Fairweather student support award This award is open to students who will present either an oral or poster presentation at the Ecological Society of Australia conference and can be used to support their travel, registration or accommodation at the conference. Value of the award: $1000
