ESBLへの治療でセフメタゾールを使ってもメロペネムに担当医に変えられてしまう…なんていう、アメリカ的な治療がじわじわと日本に染み込んでいる雰囲気のお話（単に頭使うのがめんどうなだけ？？）はなかなか難しいなあ、と思いながらふと検索してみたら。セフメタゾールって日本で開発された薬なのね。だからアメリカではあまり使われなかったりして、そしてESBLになかなか効く、なんて話があったりするのかな？？　感染症しろうとの感想だけど。

I remember #IPAC teams scouring a hospital for the source of any nosocomial infection and crush it. I once worked in an ICU where a reservoir of #ESBL was discovered in the GLUE behind the baseboards. They searched for 2 months. And won.
