Photograph shows the rocky coastline of Amlwch with East Mouse Island offshore. This island is the site of the wreck of the SS Dakota, built in 1874, which struck the island and sank on 9 May 1877. The 4,332 ton ship broke into three pieces but all 218 souls on board were saved.
