This picture looks west toward a dramatic summer cloud display. You can see the road and some green fields at the bottom with silhouettes of trees and houses. Then the sun shoots rays through the clouds, illuminating the dark undersides of the clouds on the lower right, but the clouds cast darker shadow rays into the upper left blue sky.
