a night to remember FallenCiatokins Summary: Lady Edelgard sat beside her, a wine glass in her hand, arm wrapped around Dorothea’s shoulder. A silky red nightgown draped across her body. Weariness creased across her brow. “I’m exhausted. I didn’t think that the negotiations would take that long. I never imagined that the conversation would be quite so hung up on that one particular topic.” Edelgard let out a long sigh. Hubert knew that the Ochs family would insist on rebuilding their territory once the war was over, at any expense, but what Hubert hadn’t realized was how much the eastern lords would oppose said rebuild. He grew impatient for the day that they could be rid of all these egotists for good. Her Majesty was very patient with the lords who had allied with her, but Hubert thought she was perhaps too patient. It had been seven years since the conclusion of the war, and three years since he had returned from his odious task of eliminating Thales and his followers. And yet, these circular arguments continued without end. As a married throuple, Edelgard, Hubert, and Dorothea enjoy a night together.

エデとフェルを並べた時、やはり役割として光に近いのは皇帝エデの方ですね(性格はフェルは光ですが)
フェルも皇帝を支えるという点では一緒ですが、あえて意見をぶつける意味でもより輝かせる…というイメージです。

Just Be Honest Metal_Gear_XANA Summary: Edelgard Rarepair Week, Day 4: Hope Hubert tries not to think on how Shez feels betrayed by how he and Lady Edelgard never trusted her. He shouldn't be affected in any way. Yet Lady Edelgard informs him that he likes her, which is why he feels affected, and that they should both make amends. Hubert says she likes Shez too as a means to deflect. They can still make amends.
“You try to spend any free time you have with her—oh you will claim to be helping in chores and training and the lot, but I know you are simply finding excuses to be around her,” he lists off, wishing to unload everything so she cannot recover to further convince him of his growing feelings for Shez. There is that subtle quiver of her brows of her being embarrassed he’s become attuned to over the years working with her. Most would think the glaze in her eyes is intense with solemnity, but it is with the frustration of being torn open apart for those to see into the shell. (He is not a man to be jealous, especially over something as someone dear to him wishing to spend her free time with another. Yet he has felt… a peculiar desire to be with them. Not in matters of battle or politics, but to simply be by their sides. To assure Lady Edelgard she needn’t stain her hands too much when he will gladly step in. To agree to that damn proposal of Shez that she cuts his bang and he cuts hers. To be truly seen by two people that see through this persona he has built, even if it terrifies him).

So We’re Bonding, Right? Metal_Gear_XANA Summary: Edelgard Rarepair Week 2025, Day 3: First Impressions Hapi is interested in Edelgard. So she asks questions to get to know her, such as: “Not a fan of the Church, huh.” You know: 'letting it out in the open' kind of bonding.
So Hapi’s interested in her. She’s not easily intimidated by others, so even if princess lashes without thought it won’t frighten her away or even upset her. Besides what’s Eddy gonna do; shoo her off? Nah, the princess wants to know everything, and Hapi means everything, there is to Abyss and its inhabitants. Coco likes her well enough too so she can’t be that bad, though sometimes Coco can be a bit… well she’s no master at reading people. She finds Eddy easily. The white hair really stands out in the scrapheap, even if she’s sitting away from where scavengers move about. Moving over to her she notes how she is engrossed in a book, no doubt from the shadow library. The princess practically bolted to the place upon hearing of forbidden books. Either she’s a bookworm or into the truth, or a bit of both. “Reading up on some juicy forbidden knowledge, Eddy?”

Coming Home (to You Both) Metal_Gear_XANA Summary: Edelgard Rarepair Week 2025, Day 2: Promises Ferdinand retreats from Leicester after his failed attempt in conquering Deirdru. He laments on his failures, only to receive letters from Edelgard & Hubert assuring him that he did all he could and that he did promise to be by their sides to create a better world.
He cannot help but recall that incident with Ladislava: pleading him to go, for she promised Edelgard to protect him at all cost. Such a revelation that she made that promise to Edelgard, in person, and that his emperor expected her to deliver… it is a lot to process. For Ladislava to make such a promise means that Edelgard truly cherishes him. That is not to say he believes Edelgard to not care about him, oh no! It is just the implication of that promise gives the impression of Edelgard favouring and valuing him to a degree he did not expect from her. Can one blame his flabbergast; she is not known to be the best at… how to say… expressing affection for others. To say he feels touched by it is such a gross understatement. Is it wrong to feel happy over being valued by one whom you care about? Another shocking thing to him was something he learnt upon retreating from Derdriu: extra manpower was hired by Hubert’s own funds as a means to ensure he would return alive. Hubert von Vestra, a man who used to despise him with such vitriolic disgust that one would think Ferdinand a most heinous man, going out of his way for his safety! And not too long ago Ferdinand equally despised him! Whilst it is extremely likely that Hubert only ordered such a thing due to him doubting his abilities he still put in the effort of his own accord. Not Edelgard’s orders: his own wishes. Hubert values him, mayhap even cherishes him. Ferdinand doubts that Hubert’s reasoning only had to do with the pragmatism of keeping the prime minister alive and well.
