Key Features of the Scene: The Canopy: Massive Southern live oaks lean over the road, their branches intertwining to form a natural Gothic arch. These trees are evergreen, keeping the "tunnel" lush and green year-round. Spanish Moss: Delicate strands of Spanish moss drape from the limbs, caught in the coastal breeze. This gives the road its quintessential, "haunted" Lowcountry aesthetic. The Roadway: The path itself is a wide, unpaved dirt and sand road. The dappled sunlight filtering through the dense leaves creates a shifting "patchwork quilt" of light and shadow on the ground.
