Our Year 10 history residential to the battlefields of Belgium got off to an early start yesterday. We arrived at our first destination of Essex Farm Military Cemetery where students learnt about the Chain of Evacuation. We then spent time at Hooge Crater museum. #educationwithcharacter #gwtrips

Y4 have been lucky enough to have a professional hockey coach teaching us this half term. The children have made amazing progress with their hockey skills already, after just three sessions, and we are looking forward to playing some mini games next week!

A group of our KS3 students recently visited Manchester Cycling Velodrome for an exciting taster session. The students had the opportunity to experience the thrill of indoor track cycling. #EducationwithCharacter!

Our Politics, Law and Business Studies students had the opportunity to take part in political research recently. Peter Hyman and Shuab Gamote visited our Sixth Form to gain an insight into student ideas on democracy, political leaders and social media. #EducationwithCharacter
The Primary Phase had a fabulous day celebrating #WorldBookDay! Children and staff were invited to wear an item to represent a book and this sparked lots of conversations, giving us opportunities to recommend some of our favourite books. #EducationwithCharacter
Last Friday our year 9 students were off timetable for their "Future Me" Day.
They attended informative sessions focusing on Character education, such as "Drug and Alcohol Awareness", "Making your choices for GCSE" and "Anti-Bullying".

Year 9 Grammar Stream visited Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes and learned how to use a genuine Enigma Machine, as well as being taught historical codes and ciphers. This was a fascinating trip and our students had a great time! #educationwithcharacter #gwgrammarstream
