This is a photograph from the same spot that Askwith painted from when looking at Knightstone Island in Weston Super Mare In the photograph, you can also see the sketch I've done of the island.. this was pretty dark the photo you can't really tell how dark it is but the Sun has been down for awhile.

This is the original 1884 watercolour painting by Edward Askwith that inspired me to find the spot that he painted this from.

There's a painting in #WesternMuseum I admire by #EdwardAskwith (1884), i don't know anything about the #artist apart from this #watercolour. In homage of Askwith today I went to the same spot and #sketched the same scene.
