A view of a wooden tall ship - a full size replica of a Spanish Galleon docked in Whitehaven Harbour. The sails are furled on the tall wooden masts. A red and yellow flag is at the stern of the ship, this is the national flag of Spain, also known as la Rojigualda. In front of the bow of the ship are ten swans grouped together. The sky behind the ship is bright blue with wispy clouds. The Galeón Andalucia was built between 2009 and 2010 by the Nao Victoria Foundation, a Spanish non-profit entity specialising in the construction of historical ships. Since its launch, it has navigated the world’s largest seas and oceans, visited four continents and invited thousands of visitors from hundreds of ports to step aboard and immerse themselves in nautical history.
