Cat Lake and Bernice Lake are INSIDE A PROVINCIAL PARK!
The land was set aside from development decades ago. It is habitat for threatened boreal caribou and plummeting moose populations.
This is not a place for critical minera mining.

A couple years later we got new permanent protection for big sections of Whiteshell Park, including Meditation Lake!
The take-away is that most folks want more parks protected, and that governments can listen to the will of the people.
