On March 5th, 2022, exactly 100 years to the day after Shackleton was laid to rest, the #Endurance22 expedition located the wreck 3,008 meters deep in the Weddell Sea.

3 years ago today, I was in the #SouthGeorgia museum in Grytviken when we received exciting news. The #Endurance22 expedition had discovered the wreck of Shackleton's ship. The story of the search is now on the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust website.
