Guy-Patrick Sainderichin, screenwriter and co-director of the series "Engrenages," has sadly passed away. Series, film, and theatre screenwriter Guy-Patrick Sainderichin died at the age of 75 on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Paris. The son of journalists and pioneers of French television, he pursued a career in broadcasting. He worked as a cameraman and technician on several films, as well as a critic for the newspaper Libération and Cahiers du Cinéma, before becoming a screenwriter for television and film. Co-creator of the famous series Engrenages for Canal+, he wrote numerous screenplays for crime TV series: Maigret, Navarro, and Section de recherches. He also wrote for the cinema, L'Homme aux yeux d'argent by Pierre Granier-Deferre, as well as for the stage. Guy-Patrick Sainderichin will be buried in Paris with a private burial.
