An interior view of a Northern Minnesota Winter chicken coop. Foreground left a heated hanging white & red water station. Left wooden wall has a long metal grain feeder about 15cm off floor. Above it 6 photographs of the chickens are mounted on the wall in plastic sleeves. The floor is a deep compost method adding extra warmth and top layer shows mostly straw with a few bark chips. Center to right side, front to back are a mix of Golden Laced Wyandotte hens, regular black and white Wyandotte hens, Rhode Island Red hens and 3 Heritage breed Barred Plymouth Rock roosters. One of which is standing on top of two plastic white feed bins staring intently at the pictures. Other Roosters and Hens perched behind him are also looking at the pictures. Two hens near feed bins wear aprons and are eating from the bins, as are 3 other hens. The image has a softer feel and dimmer light due to the red heat lamp in the coop and no flash during photography capture.
