Black and white square format photo showing a group of four Lombardy poplars in a local park. There are willow trees to the left, and skimpy light clouds in the sky to the right.

The four poplars. The little shadow top left is consistent with this camera (sometimes it gets cropped out). Has anyone seen anything similar? There's also a very narrow vignette near the edges of the frame.

Black and white square format photo of an old, heavily pruned oak tree in front of a small lake. There are still leaves on the tree. The top half of the photo is sky with a few low fluffy clouds.

Two of Abbey Lake. I really haven't got the hang of composing for square!

Black and square format photo from a camera nearly as old as I am, shows a large black three-headed scarecrow on the small front lawn of a house around the corner from us. Cerberus also has 3 tails, which IRL are different colours.

I only took one roll for Folder Week; happily some of the results are a little better than I was fearing.

This is Cerberus, part of the annual PTA "scarecrow" competitions.

It turns out the answer to my question above is No, only because I've set Vuescan to down-sample in an attempt to get a smoother result (I don't think the #EpsonV500 is reliable enough to do multi-pass scanning!).
