I do something similar but with 36 keys. 3 keys on each thumb. I have never been able to touch type on a standard keyboard but on this I can spend hours typing without ever looking down.
TBH there is nothing to look down on since I use blank keycaps like the author here 😁😃

A second, low-profile split ergonomic keyboard in front of the 3D printed one.
I previously built a more minimalist, low-profile Bluetooth keyboard, but it ended up being too difficult to switch to when I needed to get work done. So this one is pretty much the opposite. #ergomech #splitkeyboards
