Velvet Dead? - I was today years old when I learned / realized that singer-songwriter Eric Anderson had a songwriting credit on my favorite Grateful Dead album, Wake Of The Flood (writing lyrics for Bob Weir's ambitious "Weather Report Suite"). Knowing that Mr. Anderson was friend of Lou Reed, now we can jump from The Grateful Dead to The Velvet Underground in one step. Unrelated coincidence: both bands issued their debut albums within 5 days of one another in March 1967
