Chemnitz shows big Munch exhibition During his visit to Chemnitz, the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch created a number of paintings. 

🇩🇪🧑‍🎨 The #EuropeanCapitalofCulture 2025 Chemnitz presents the exhibition ‘Angst’ until 2 November 2025, with 140 works - almost 100 by #EdvardMunch.

🎨 These include loans from other artists that relate to Munch's paintings.

Europe's first borderless Capital of Culture In 1947, Gorizia was abruptly split between Italy and Slovenia. In 2025, the two towns will reunite as the first transnational European Capital of Culture.
