Everly (Salma Hayek), yıllar boyunca acımasız bir Japon suç lordu olan Taiko’nun (Hiroyuki Watanabe) esiri olarak yaşamıştır. Hayatta kalmak için zorla seks işçiliği yapmaya zorlanan Everly, yıllar süren esaretin ardından FBI ile gizli bir anlaşma yaparak suç örgütünü çökertmeye karar verir. Ancak anlaşma ifşa olur ve Taiko, Everly'yi öldürmek için kendi askerlerinden kiralık katillere kadar herkesi onun peşine salar. Film, neredeyse tamamen bir apartman dairesinde geçer. Bu dar mekânda Everly, kendini ve sevdiklerini korumak için amansız bir savaş verir. Daire, zamanla adeta bir savaş alanına dönüşürken, izleyici Everly’nin içsel dönüşümüne ve hayatta kalma azmine tanıklık eder.
