An old black and white photogrpah of a 2-8-2 'mikado' type steam locomotive, with 1914 on the tender, next to a water tower The 1914 was one of 25 (1900-1924) 2-8-2's built for the C&EI by the American Locomotive Company at Dunkirk, New York in September of 1912. It was equipped with 63" diameter drive wheels and 28" x 30" cylinders. It was sold for scrap in August of 1949.

A brand new A-B-A set of General Motors Electro-Motive Division (EMD) F7 diesel locomotives, in the lined Brunswick Green livery of the Pennsylvania Railroad, sit in the sun for a prmotional photo. Engine #9690 leads the trio. They have curved lines and the word PENNSYLVANIA on the side, with red keystone logos. the railing on top is the radio/telephone antenna for train crew communication.

In this striking Electro-Motive photo, a recently completed Pennsylvania F7 set, bask in sun during April of 1949.
