It wasn't a choice people made. On Jan 20th, a lot of Facebook accounts automatically began following Zuck's Pres & VP accounts. FB did this to a lot of people I know (I had already signed out). Wasn't aware that Instagram had done the same. But it makes sense. All Meta = all bullshit.
