The work that makes the biggest difference often happens face-to-face. Last week, provincial and First Nations leaders—and youth—came together at the 10th First Nations Leaders' Gathering to share ideas and strengthen relationships. #FNLG #Reconciliation
We’ve wrapped up a valuable and productive week here at FNLG. I am deeply grateful to all Nations for continuing to work with us to advance reconciliation, environmental sustainability, and economic prosperity for the future of British Columbia.

I want to thank every First Nation that attended FNLG this year.
Thank you for working with us to strengthen our partnerships, and deepen BC's commitment to reconciliation.
Let's continue our collaboration, and bringing about a brighter future for your Nations.

An impactful and full few days at #FNLG, meeting with dozens of nations from across the province. Thank you to everyone that took the time to met with me and my ministry. I look forward to good work we can do together.
Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k:tles7et’h’ First Nations are sector leaders. In Forest Landscape Planning, and in forestry work.
Through Tiičma Forestry LP, they purchased a forest license to take over operations in their territory. A major achievement in stewardship and forestry.

I'd also like to acknowledge my friend Chief Lindsay Tighe of the Shackan Indian Band, just left of Chief Walkem.
There's another true community leader, one who works hard and creatively for the people who depend on him.

With my friend Chief Lampreau of the Simpcw First Nation.
True stewards of the land, and real collaborators with our government and local forestry operators.
Last month I was pleased to deliver more fibre to this nation so they can harvest and get logs to local mills.

It was a pleasure to sit on yesterday’s #FNLG panel on B.C. government commitments. Advancing #reconciliation, implementing the Declaration Act and working in partnership with #FirstNations is in every mandate letter. We are moving forward together and creating a better province for everyone.
I’m deeply grateful to the First Nations Leaders who took the time to meet with me this week at #FNLG. Building meaningful relationships and fostering collaboration are essential as we work together to create shared prosperity. Looking forward to the work ahead.
I appreciate all of the First Nations Leaders that took the time to sit down with me today at #FNLG. Collaboration and building relationships is key as we create #prosperity together, and I look forward to working with First Nations communities on their #economic #development goals.
A wonderful first day here at #FNLG listening and connecting with First Nations Leaders! Today, along with many other meetings, I met with the Williams Lake and Tsartlip First Nations to discuss what economic #development looks like for them and how JEDI can best support this work.
