Bang on from Lewis that the normative dimension is rarely engaged *directly* in scholarship (eg on AI) but is often *implicit* in how we oriental our questions and interpretations. #FOJ25

Comforting to hear an expert like @sethclewis.bsky.social note that the jury's still put on whether AI enhances or detracts from journalistic productivity. (Even as he marks and theorises AI as a turn that shifts the gravitational centre of the field of journalism studies.) #FOJ25
