My first FSBI conference did not disappoint. The spawning run, sea dip, hatchery visit and seeing the farm where my granny grew up were just some of the highlights. Topped off with an award for my talk.

Had a great time at #FSBI2025 symposium in Belfast☘️ My #FSBIGreenTravel attempt of Uppsala-Belfast train trip ended up in a great adventure and now I have a story to tell. Besides, I got on time and had the chance to give my talk about my research on early life Baltic cod🐟 and meet nice people.

Our final medal award winner is Oliver Crimmen, of the Nautral History Museum (London), who was awarded this year's Le Cren Medal. With over 50 years of experience, some species are now present in the collection but extinct in the wild, which gives much pause for thought #FSBI2025
The next awardee that we hear from is Rochelle Chan, awarded this year's Huntingford Medal, for most impactful paper in the Journal of Fish Biology. Rochelle's paper utilises #sequencing and barcoding to identify species from #larvae in a high throughput way #FSBI2025 #JFB doi.org/10.1111/jfb....
