About that #NEWTOT penalty... The new rules introduced this season should be clear enough, but as with almost any other rule in this game, it's the refereeing inconsistency that ruins it for everyone.
The only precedent this year is #FULMUN (again thanks to VAR), but it happens in almost every game
At the start of this season, there was a big fanfare about referees aiming to clamp down on holding and shirt-pulling.
So far, the only time it has happened is the VAR overturn in #FULMUN with a penalty awarded to United (Kavanagh/England).
