Well, book 1 has an undead centaur that nearly kills the entire party, book 2 has a necromantic giant that shrugs off practically anything that attacks it, and the less said about ghouls the better... so definitely not cute lol.

Maeve likes cloaks to help cover her ears, and because they're easy to ditch to rapidly change her appearance when she needs people to lose track of her in a crowd.
Otherwise light clothes that are easy to move in, and mail or gambeson for armor.

Pretty standard medieval/renaissance era clothing materials? Honestly the actual fabrics aren't something I've done too much looking into, beyond noting that magical enchantments are a lot harder to make stick the more a material is processed.

It depends on what culture. For the Duchies, it varies by class. Nobility, particularly the old blood, tend to dress in numerous layers in bright colors, where the lower classes tend towards simpler, more muted outfits.
