🐣 The first Cassin’s Auklet chicks of the season have hatched on the #FarallonIslands! These fluffy chicks are 10–15 days old and have reached thermal independence. At this stage, they can stay cozy in the nest alone while both parents head to the ocean to forage. πŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸ¦‰πŸŒŽπŸ¦‘ #FarallonFriday #Seabirds
