An Epic game of LOTR #fateofthefellowship. Taking almost as long as watching a film, we struggled with getting Frodo and Sam to Mordor. The party had lost and gained hope along the way, losing a haven to the enemy. Sadly the final roll was against our heroes and we lost.

Final turn of the game. Boromir meeple was missing so we had to swap in a different meeple. The Nazgûl did almost nothing this game… the majority of them hung out near the shire having a picnic. We didn’t lose a single stronghold this game.
New set in the LoTR trick taking game shown with the promo pack. I really like the stained glass window approach to the art in this game… it doesn’t really make sense for middle earth but it’s striking.

Played another session of Fate of the Fellowship. Gollum made this game way too easy but I enjoyed the battle for Eriador. I also picked up the Two Towers Trick Taking Game. This came out just in time because we are currently on the final chapter of the previous set.
2 vs 1 arena fight in battletech. Testing out 3D scratch built walls. The mobilized rifleman was using the wall to protect his flank. When the wall section lowered the enemy flanked him and finished him off.
Frodo once again makes it to Mt Doom. Tried out different characters and quests this time. We had 2 characters that could raise troops without spending extra resources which allowed us to take the fight to the enemy.

This afternoon I had my first solo attempt at #FateOfTheFellowship. I got the Hobbits to Mount Doom, but I took too long and ran out of player cards and ultimately, hope, before I could try to destroy the One Ring.

Fate of the fellowship board. Amazingly we ended at full hope and all the Nazgûl were outside Mordor. Lots of lucky dice rolls.
We managed to win LOTR Fate of the Fellowship. We came to the conclusion it’s super hard with two, Frodo and Sam are a bit of a burden! We played two characters each who had four actions and then 1 action of F + S at the end of each turn - it worked well.
