#Meglos in #FeastOfWho twangs early childhood memories. Nothing very narrative based. The odd wigs and the art design vernacular is taken from familiar hand drawn sources. The studio sets features less obsolete old 60s broadcast outboard gear & more moulded & textures surfacing. Better lighting.
#TheLeisureHive brings #FeastOfWho bang into the Eighties. New series, graphics, visual effects, Them tune overhauled, incidental music littered with MIDI & advanced synths.
The story itself is a little slight; space diplomacy & dynastic succession. All studio based, limited models,no locations.
There is a 3rd slightly exciting thing which acts as a coda to the story & references the 're-formatting' to bring it back into serviceable viewing.

"The Worshipful & Ancient Law of Gallifrey" is a book & the Hitchcockian maguffin which has been liberated by accident.
#FeastOfWho arrives at #TheHornsOfNimon We move from drug smugglers to human traffickers. Some very angry pilots are flying a ship loaded with a dozen or so human sacrifice children (incl. a small part for #JanetEllis, future BluePeter presenter & Popstar Mum).
I imagine Romana will lead them away.
The previously stalwart, then slightly bemused, Captain is now well off his tits & 'Jones-ing' until put out of action.
Romana still encountering hassle;

as ever was spoken by all law enforcement officers.

Really rather Series 13/14 of old school #DoctorWho so #FeastOfWho has reached #FaceOfEvil & you can see well in advance, after establishing the context of the narrative, Act 1, Scene 2 will always be, *Then the TARDIS arrives*.
Also, the set design & camera work is much more trippy.

Reads as a re-interpretation of Frankenstein.
Dr. Solon is played well, as debonair host with a stumbling, stunted lab assistant in tow.
However, The Rani are simply superb as trippy, chanting, telekinetic psi-cult.
Their dialogue needs work though.
