Banaji's  article "Marjory Stoneman Douglas’s Everglades: River of Grass, the Rivers of America Book Series, and the Origins of an Environmental Rhetoric  " in the  Fall 2025 issue of Peitho re-contextualizes River of Grass within the Rivers of America series to showcase Douglas's navigation of "history, science, literature, and gender" discourses in one of the earliest texts of the American environmentalist movement.
