The poster was designed by David Edward Byrd, who was the poster artist for the Fillmore East. The Fillmore East was a legendary rock venue in New York City that hosted many famous musicians during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Moody Blues were a British rock band formed in 1964. They played some of their earliest major gigs at the Fillmore East. The poster also includes the names of the opening acts, John Mayall and Rhinoceros, as well as the venue's address at Second Avenue and Sixth Street. The Fillmore East was opened by Bill Graham in 1968 and closed in 1971. The venue was known for its high-quality sound and light shows, as well as its diverse lineup of artists.
