Just finished 8MM. Proper grim watch that sticks to your ribs. Not one for a cosy watch. But Nicolas Cage and James Gandolfini are seriously good. Whole cast brings it. I need something lighter now, maybe a cartoon and a strong drink!

Top Gun: Maverick wants to be a legacy sequel. What it becomes is a $170M nostalgia mirage. Kilmer’s inclusion should’ve been the heart of the film. Instead, we get green screens and ghosted emotions.
