However the Greek is not fully expressed there. Webster brings out the intent of the Greek as follows ... "For the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil and some men in reaching after riches have wandered from the faith and pierced their hearts with many a pang." Therefore we see that the love of money is the root of all SORTS OF evil, not evil itself or all evil.
